Arcoiris Labs ("we", "our", or "us") operates the DTMF Tone Generator with Decoder mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use our App on Android devices.
1. Information Collection and Use
Sensitive Permissions: Microphone / Audio Record
To provide its core functionality, the App requires access to your device's microphone (Audio Recording permission).
- Purpose: The microphone is used solely to capture real-time audio signals so the App can decode Dual-Tone Multi-Frequency (DTMF) tones using the Goertzel Algorithm.
- Local Processing: All audio capturing and DTMF decoding are processed 100% locally and in real-time on your mobile device.
- No Transmission: We do not record, save, store, transmit, upload, or share any audio data, voice data, or decoded sequences to remote servers or third parties. Once the App finishes decoding a tone, the temporary audio buffer is immediately discarded from memory.
Local Decoding History
The App includes a local decoding history feature that stores your previously decoded DTMF sequences.
- Storage: This history is saved locally on your device's internal memory using Web Local Storage (
localStorage). - Control: This data never leaves your device. You can erase this history at any time by clicking the "Clear History" button inside the App.
2. Log Data & Analytics
We do not collect any usage logs, analytics data, crash reports, or device identifiers. The App runs entirely offline and does not establish network connections to track your usage.
3. Third-Party Services
The App is ad-free and does not integrate any third-party SDKs, ad networks, tracking cookies, or analytics services. Your usage remains completely private.
4. Children's Privacy
Our App does not collect any personal information, making it fully compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and family-friendly policies. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children of any age.
5. Security of Your Data
Since all operations and data storage are restricted to your local device, the security of your data relies on your device's operating system security. We recommend keeping your device updated and secured.
